OLfolders PE – Office Outlook networks without a complicated and expensive serverOLfolders PE is a small edition of OLfolders, a program which allows sharing Outlook data in a network without installing a complex server application.

It runs under any version of Windows  and any Version of Outlook 32bit and 64bit.

It enables sharing outlook data files from two up to 11 users in an Peer-to-Peer network.

One of the 11 work stations will be configured as the server, which stores the data, all other computers remotely connect to the data base. The server computer can be any workstation or a dedicated server.

You are able to see contacts, tasks, appointments, emails etc. at all workstation at the same time. All changes will be applied at the server immediately without  synchronization, this guarantees that all users work with the same version of elements and see all modifications immediately.

OLfolders PE was created as solution for small networks for up to 11 User, it contains the most important functions of OLfolders professional. If you want to upgrade to OLfolders, we will take your license keys back and offer you a special upgrade price.

 

Maximum network size

  • "Peer-to-Peer network": 1 Server and 10 client licenses (11 Outlook-User network).

  • "Client-Server network": 1 dedicated Server and 10 client licenses (10 Outlook-User network).

Some features of OLfolders are not included in OLfolders PE

  • OLfolders - Maximum network size: From two up to unlimited users.

  • OLfolders PE does not include a mail server nor mail transport to PST files.

  • OLfolders PE can not be configured as the default email folder at clients.

  • User rights: OLfolders contains users rights for each folder, for example folders and elements can be hidden to certain users, users may have different write access to elements.

  • The license code does not contain QSynchronization for offline folders.

Client licenses

OLfolders PE requires one license code for each client which accessing the server at the same time. The server itself does not need a license code.

"Peer-to-Peer" Network: For example in order to share Outlook between 5 computers, you need 4 license codes, because one of the five computers will act as the OLfoldersServer and don't need a license code.

"Client-Server" Network: If you have 5 computers and a dedicated server workstation (including Outlook), you will need 5 license codes, one for each client.

The dedicated server workstation don't need a license code.
